This ball is best in higher friction conditions. It really shines with straighter angles.

Layout 50x4.5x75 With the sanded pearl cover matched with the layout I used this will be a ball that will be in my hand a lot from league to sport tournaments. The SMTM Black has taken over my tank/Heavy oil slot in my bag. If you're looking for a ball that can handle the oil The Show Me The Money Black in the ball for you!

Definitely had to warm up to this ball, but once I hit it with a 500 pad and let it lane shine. Let me tell you, it’s a Sport Shot Killer!!! I also use it on house shots when pot bowling and it has the right name $$$. Loves oil, reads smooth, and very predictable when controlling the pocket.

I drilled the SMTM 50x4x30. I must say upfront that I was completely wrong about this ball when I first got it. Okay, if you are looking for the ball after urethane will not hook, this is your ball of choice... The SMTM reads super early and still retains energy to make awesome motions when it sees the friction. It's strong , smooth and continuous... When your BIG BRO burn-up burns out (LOL), then you go to this awesome piece. This is great for house and short to medium sport patterns when you need to keep the ball motion in front of you... Great strong ball that reads from front to back of the lane. Get you one, you won't regret it...period!!!

I was expecting more ball as it stated heavy oil. I was disappointed I wasn’t able to use this ball until the lanes burned up a bit. Very smooth once they burn up though. Able to keep it right longer than anything else.

I have this ball drilled the same as the solid except I polished the Black. Once the Lanes transfer to the burn I switch to this ball and I can throw the same line. On typical house shots I can play up and in with this one. All I can say is that it's a beast of a ball.

This ball is definitely a must have in your arsenal. It is a naturally strong ball. Mine was drilled with a pin buffer of 4X4X2. My laydown was at 15 and pushed it out to 10 and the amount of force in the pocket was amazing. I played in an alley with overly heavy oil and it still got to the pocket with no skid hesitation. I also used this ball in a dry lane house I moved 2 boards left and kept my mark at 10 and it still was a trooper. I drilled it with the same layout as my Fantasy Daze and the reaction was very similar for me.

Out of the Box this ball gave me less continuation and motion down lane than I was expecting. After taking the surface down to 1000 grit, I now have a ball that is great at controlling the front part of the lane and allowing me to play straighter on tighter conditions.

I’ve tried 2 different layouts on this ball and just can’t get it to make the turn I need it to. I’m a two handed bowler averaging around 210-215 but can’t make this ball hook for the life of me.

Drilled mine pin down and loving this ball, not the strongest but still hits hard and drives through the pins great and takes out those pesky corner pins.

If you are looking for a smooth controllable ball this one is money.

very nice ball much more controllable then I thought it would be. with everything i heard about the solid i expected this to be a hook monster but wasnt it plays great down the boards on a fresh lane and has enough to get back to the pocket

Right Hander: Pap 5 over 1 1/2 up
Layout: 70 X 4 1/2 X 20
Ball Speed: at 40 feet on average 15.2 to 15.6 mph

I found this ball to have very similar ball motion to the Show Me The Money (SMTM) Solid. I drilled the SMTM solid 70 X 3 1/2 X 20 .

I went with a 70 X 4 1/2 X 20 layout. After drilling the ball, turns out, the ball motion is very similar to the SMTM solid but it stores energy better with slightly more pop off the spot. My desire was to have a controlled ball motion while squaring up on a typical house shot.

The bowling center I primarily use this ball in has a 40 foot house pattern with a lots of oil volume. The 3000 grit finish didn't match up well with the lane surface and pattern, so I hit with a fresh 1000 grit pad. So don't be afraid to make surface change adjustments if the out the box cover doesn't work for you.

Pros: Squaring up on a house shot, the ball is money.
Cons: Extreme angles away from the pocket.

For me this ball is a good light to dry lane ball. I was hoping for more but still a good light oil to dry lane ball.

This ball is great for when conditions start to break down a little bit. Great piece for when transition starts. I drilled mine a little weaker with a a 75 x 3 x 30 layout so it’s a little rollier than I had anticipated, but still really good motion and definitely a must have in the bag.

If you want a ball that will eat through the oil then this definitely a ball you want in your bag! The only reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5 is because it is not aggressive as I thought it would be. But this thing hits like a truck and the pearl coverstock definitely makes it run longer.

217 average 19mph 500 rev. No thumber

Personal hook scale 5/10

Only have about 30 shots with this ball and found it is really good at playing straight up. I play up the 5 board and it hits extremely well.

I would not agree that this ball is designed for Heavy oil as I feel it is more of a medium-light ball.

You can use this ball on heavy but you need to play straighter.
When the lanes break down you can simply move left and this ball will continue to get down lane but you can open up your angles.
I did buy this ball with the thought it would be a bit more aggressive in the middle of the lane but I just haven't found that shot yet.

If you like coming off the outside or are looking for a pearl to use after your Yolo Rocks or Graffiti Pop this would be the next ball.

I have it's overall boards covered in the same range as my Holic. The Holic is more angular where the Money Black is smoother.

Great ball, but for my father and me it is a straight up the 5 board on heavy.

420-450 Rev Rate
15 Degrees of Tilt
45 Degrees of Rotation Standard

Ball Layout for me was 4 1/2 x 4 x 1 1/2

Honestly, I was expecting a bit more from this ball when I first got it as it has a pearl cover. The original SMTM solid was a very strong and smooth Asym and I expected the pearl to be more powerful with more continuation. I was rather disappointed to find out that this ball gave me the same look as the original SMTM solid.

The SMTM solid is a ball that I use to control more high friction environments due to how clean the ball gets through the heads and mids. The SMTM Black will be an excellent option to play off of the SMTM solid.

For me, I was unable to use it with much success on my local THS. Our THS is higher volume than most and requires a stronger cover.
